Unsung - a new play at Dartington Tagore Festival 2013

06/30/2013 - 12:00 - 13:30

Red Mane Productions and Mukul & Ghetto Tigers present:

A new play by Ayndrilla Singharay.

Two brothers. Two wives. One family.

Ash and Joy are spirited newlyweds; Rana and Megh are struggling to tolerate each other’s company. When a seemingly innocent meeting leads to devastating consequences, there are painful sacrifices to be made by all.
Featuring live Bengali music and song, Unsung is a re-imagining of Shasti, one of Rabindranath Tagore’s most haunting short stories. Set in modern day London, its outcome is a reminder how far we will go to protect those we love.

Director: Mukul Ahmed

With Avita Jay, Niall Ray, Nadia Nadif, Rez Kabir, Tanusree Guha, Dia Chakravarty.

Supported by Asha & Arts Council England.
